Metal Braces

Metal braces are the most popular with kids and teenagers. Made of high grade stainless steel, the metal brackets we use are much smaller and more comfortable for our active patients. We have a huge selection of removable colors for your braces. You could have a different color for each tooth and change them at each appointment!

Clear Ceramic Braces

Clear braces are a great way to have your teeth corrected and still feel like your smile is as bright and white as it used to be. Translucent tooth colored brackets are used in place of metal. The reduction of metal in your smile gives teenagers and adults a good feeling about their new appliances. Our staff have worn these great alternatives to traditional metal and are very happy with the cosmetic incentive of less noticeable braces.

Invisalign is becoming a very popular method of orthodontic treatment for adults. Treatment consists of a series of clear trays designed to be worn instead of traditional braces. The Invisalign company generates your tray templates on their computer to gradually move your teeth into position. Ask Dr. Chung if you are a candidate for Invisalign treatment!

Lingual (Concealed) Braces

Lingual braces, also known as concealed or invisible braces, are used in cases where Invisalign is not indicated due to the complexity of the problem. They are placed behind the teeth so no one can see them. They are custom-made for each patient and the techniques used require special instruments, equipment, doctor and staff training. With the lingual braces, you can have the smile you always wanted without anyone knowing you are wearing braces.

Palatal Expanders

The palatal expander widens your upper jaw by putting gentle pressure on your upper molars each time an adjustment is made. Dr. Chung will instruct you as to when and how to adjust your expander. When you achieve the desired expansion, you will wear the appliance for several months to solidify the expansion and to prevent relapse.

The retainers are fabricated after the active treatment is finished. They hold your teeth in their new, corrected positions after your teeth have been straightened. Dr. Chung will instruct you on how to care for your retainer and about the duration of the wear. Wearing your retainer as directed is crucial to prevent relapse of your treatment.
